In the fifth grade, one of the lessons that are taught is responsibility. Each week, students are given jobs around the classroom, such as watering the plants, passing out papers, clapping the erasers, etc. Another lesson that’s taught is health. Ms. Butterfield or Ms. B uses her skeleton, Harry, to teach the students about the body. The fifth graders also learn how to write outlines and essays so they will be prepared for the middle school level.
