Every student can’t wait to get to the third grade because of Miss Gill, an enthusiastic teacher who always has a smile on her face. Her smile is somewhat contagious because the students are always smiling as well. Miss Gill makes learning very fun so that the students will enjoy coming to school. She is a big sports fan and loves the New York Yankees. One of the fun activities she does with the students is called “Spelling Stars.” Every week, the students take a spelling test. Whoever gets a 100% on it puts a sticker on their star. At the end of the year, the person with the most stars gets to be “Teacher for a Day.” This is another activity that she does. Miss Gill trades places with the student that has the most stars and he or she teaches the class. This student can decide if they want the class to not have homework, extra recess, etc.
