Mr. Al has been the SBS custodian for fifteen years. He greets everyone with a warm smile and a friendly greeting. An Italian immigrant from Caserta, Italy, Mr. Al has had many interesting experiences in life. He was an exhibition paratrooper with the Italian Air Force and was also a world class soccer player heading for the Olympics when an injury stopped him. Now, he runs between ten and fourteen miles every day, frequently wearing a SBS gym sweatshirt!. As a custodian, Mr. Al can fix any problem in the school such as electric wiring, plumbing, heating, and lighting. He keeps the inside and outside of the school in tip-top order. Mr. Al is our custodian, but he is also a friend to all in the SBS family and is a major asset to our school’s friendly environment.
